Through our HR WorkWays™ online benefits management platform, our employees complete a Talent Profile that houses reviews, employment history — and career goals and a development plan. This profile can also be used when you apply for internal positions available within Sony. It is further shared with Human Resources and business leaders. This information is used to focus your individual development and identify opportunities for you to learn more, develop your skills and advance.

Your training ground.
Central to the Talent Management Process is the Sony Electronics Leadership Curriculum. Through a state-of-the-art, blended approach that combines online resources, peer learning groups and in-class labs — we integrate learning into the daily activities of your work. Applied over time, the Leadership Curriculum can be a vital catalyst to your professional growth with Sony. You'll increase your understanding of our core business, our desired culture, the industries in which we compete — as well as develop through applied learning in established and emerging markets.

Taken a step further, the curriculum develops critical skills across the course of your Sony career. This enables us to build a strong "leadership pipeline" at all levels and is a key competitive advantage. The focus is on important prerequisites of managerial-leadership work at different levels — most notably skill requirement, time allocation and work values.

Conducted throughout the year, our Performance Review Process helps you establish goals for the coming year, ensures alignment with key company initiatives — and facilitates dialogue with your manager to check the progress on your goals and development plan.
